The Challenge: North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) Rail Division in  need of heavy repair for passenger locomotive.

Project Approach: ACWR mechanical crew at ACWR Shop in Candor, NC performed heavy repair for NCDOT locomotives:

►NCDOT 1985: Turbo Charger Replacement

►NCDOT 1810: Engine Change

►Use of crane services to handle heavy parts & material

►Procured and managed consumables for project

►300 manhours spent

Outcomes:

►Engines are performing at a high level for use on Piedmont and Carolinian passenger services.
