The Challenge: Mermec in need of repair, maintenance and overhaul of specialty passenger car services

Project Approach: ACWR mechanical crew at ACWR Shop in Candor, NC performed mechanical services for FRA Geometry Car:

►FRA 238 Repairs

►Amtrak PC-1 Annual

►Amtrak PC 2-A 10 Year Inspection

►Amtrak PC-5 Clearance Profile

►Clean, Oil, Test, & Stencil (COT&S)

►Airbrake Service

►Assist with Install of New Testing Equipment

►Moved fuel tanks, generators, transformers

►Work with Mermec Employees to install cameras, track geometry equipment, and air conditioning

►Procured and managed $50K of inventory for project

Outcomes:

►Established Candor, NC as home shop for future repairs
