Bulk shippers receive durastically less tariff rates when they ship via unit trains. A unit train is a long train carrying the same type of commodity, in which the railcars are transported from origin to destination without being separated. This concept can be seen at our Midland, NC transload facility, where 90+ cars of ethanol come in by rail from the Midwest. You'll see some pictures and videos of our unit trains below.
